Hi, me soul matie and groovie FF, I need to tell ya that people who haven’t seen me in several months (which is almost everyone, except me mom) don’t recognize anymore. That’s odd, because I know myself now than I ever have. I see outwardly what must have been hidden inside for a long, long time. No more crystals or cheap and crappy Celtic trinkets. Me long red hair has been cut. If I make myself up anymore, it’s for fight deaders, not to appeal to other people. I don’t need New Age trappings or me old life to save myself. I’ve found me path, and now I need to show others the way, too. Some of them won’t go easily. That’s fine. If a little forceful persuation doesn’t help, they’ll be left behind.

There are too many people and there’s too little time…

Truly Yours

Your Fuck Friend Loreena O’Conell
Peace…

Let’s make war to those undead bitches, and then make love to us…

Don’t waste your free time in bed or traffic

Filed under: Horacio — High Advanced Class @ 6:08 pm

I´d like to tell you that a modern museum’s concept has been being developed inside our crowded city since few years ago; surrounded by nature and fresh air from Chapultepec’s wood, it takes place in the side block of Reforma avenue and shows a lot of pictures in a thematic order on each time. I have had the opportunity to go by two or three times and I really like it. I recommend you to do so, because in this month is held the exposition “La ciudad del cine” which is including among 130 and  150 pictures about mexican famous films and it is part of the 5th edition of the International Contemporary Film Festival, which is going to be held from February 19th to march 2nd 2008 here in Mexico City.

Harry Potter, good for ones bad for others….. What about you???

Filed under: Horacio — High Advanced Class @ 5:37 pm

Since our common point of view, all the latest stories evolving magic and wizards are performed to the purpose of  entertainment only, however for some people who is involved in certain social circles or religious commitments these are not in the same way.

Today I’m going to talk about the Harry Potter series, which are the stories about a young, neglected orphan who discovers he has magical powers and is invited to attend a magical school. There, Harry makes friends and tries to stop the return of the evil wizard Voldemort, who took his parents’ lives.

According to critics made to this great “Best seller” in order to rfuse the subject of witchcraft and consider it an insult to religion, they claim that fearing it might undermine traditional spiritual values, although Harry defends good against evil at personal risk and upholds values like honesty, loyalty to those we love, and courage in the face of danger.

Well, in fact, those stories are part of the banned set of books for some school libraries……..

What do you think about it?

Are You Happy?

Filed under: Horacio — High Advanced Class @ 5:36 pm

There are few definitions about the question you could be asked about suddenly by a friend or some people in the street, so pay attention to them and conclude whether or not you agree with this part of the history.

For ancient greece people, happiness was one of the favorite topics of philosophy. for Aristotle, it was the supreme human motivation and consisted of constantly practicing the principal virtues whereas the philosophers known, as a Cynics believe that happiness was attained by discarding material possessions. One of the most exponents of this theory was Diogenes, who lived in a barrel whit no other earthly belongings than a cape. Another greek thinker, Epicurus, claimed that the ultimate gold in life was to obtain as much pleasure as possible and avoid pain. On the other hand, the Stoics saw happiness as accepting destiniy, eliminating passions and achieving peace of mind. Taoists believed that being respectful of nature’s laws, humans would enjoy good luck, acting spontaneously and trusting their own intuition.

I think that there are no miraculos formula for getting happiness, since, rather than end goal, it is a path filled with adventure, involving and ongoing search that inside ourselves. So, be happy and tray to smile all the time…….

Filed under: Gabriela — High Advanced Class @ 5:54 pm

One of the things that I enjoy  is  look the moon…. wow…. It’s  amazing when you can see the stars and feel the wind.  You forget problems, reminding  good memorizes  or travel with your imagination.  Unfortunately,  It is not possible in our big city but  let me give you  a good news:   we will be able to  enjoy a total eclipse moon in our  downtown city tomorrow.

UNAM have been organizing  differents activities about it.  You can go to the downtown and see the eclipse  with  telescopes or binoculars  which  can be used free  for everybody. So if you have time,  this is a good option!!

Man, Henry, its me dawg, Jason G. when I was a Kiddo and heard my nutcase grandfather and his freakish stories about the WW2, I just think he was a sicko but, for real man, word…

When I arrived in the swamplands of Paraguay, I could see why the old Germans, the freakos that my g-dad, tracked down some time ago, chose the place. The country is naturally isolated…

Man, those freaking spider-girls, the weavers of Itagua, had woven a lacy shroud around the country, a “lapacho courtain” where those Nazis experiments had begun again. As I would learn during my brief stay, Hell didn’t die in 1945. It just learn to speak Guarani…

New eye to the space

Filed under: Horacio — High Advanced Class @ 10:50 pm

Seeing the origin of the universe will actually be possible with the Great Millimetric Telescope.

I´m pleased to talk about the latest mexican successful in science, which is called “Millimetric Telescope”. This project is currently  being developed in a place known “La Negra Volcano”, which is located in Puebla State, very close to Veracruz, and the equipment for it has been set up at an altitude of 4,600 meters. It has been developed by the CONACyT (National Board of Science and Technology), National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics and the University of Massachusetts, which are spliting expenses and responsibilities fifty – fifty.

The idea came up 15 years ago, and it was based on a needy for a new window through to  which to study the universe, the developing teem have been working on it for 8 years. By enabling scientists to see greater distances, GMT will also, allow people to see back in time, into the distance past. The furthest back we migth see is the origin, which, according to scientific community, dates about 12 to 15 billion years ago, when the “Big Ban” ocurred and everything began to take place and shape.

As a conclusion, let me tell you that some scientists have even gone as far as to say that the GMT (Great Millimetric Telescope) project is likely the man’s landing on the moon or the launching of the Hubble Telescope, because it will herald a new era in scientific learning. The millimetric accuracy of the telescope picks up wave lengths of between one and three millimeters, and it makes the exploration possible.

I think, without a doubt, we have to be praud of Mexico for this reason at these moments !!!!
